Anna Gunn is an American actress. Anna Gunn is a US actress. She has also appeared as Martha Bullock in Deadwood and Jean Ward on The Practice. Anna Gunn was born in Sante Fe New Mexico, in 1968. She fell in love performing in Preparatory School prior to moving to Ohio together with her family during the early 1970s. Anna attended the British American Drama Academy and studied theatre through Northwestern University. Anna was employed in the theatre in the Chicago area for a few years before trying her hand at television and films. In 1992, Anna landed her first big character in the role of Arden in the 29th episode of Down the Shore. Anna continued to appear in movies as well as TV shows such Seinfeld, NYPD Blue and others until late the 1990's. She was then selected for The Practice as Jean Ward. The role was played by Martha Bullock in Deadwood for two seasons during the 2000s. Skyler is the character she played in her Breaking Bad role from 2008. Sully was one of her characters. Gunn also took to the stage starring in the David Schwimmer directed production Sex With Strangers. The year 2022 saw Gunn participated in an audio-play series named "Numbered days".
